How accurate is the temperature reading?
The DJI Matrice 4 Thermal uses a radiometric camera that records precise temperature data at every pixel - not just approximate colour ranges. It's accurate to within ±2°C, which is more than sufficient to identify problem areas.
Will it disturb my neighbours?
The DJI Matrice 4 is surprisingly quiet for a commercial drone. Flights are short (under an hour typically) and we stay within your property boundary as much as possible. We always notify immediate neighbours as a courtesy.
My chimney is leaking - can you find out why?
A drone inspection is a great first step. We can check the flashing, pointing, pot condition, and stack for cracks. Combined with thermal imaging, we can often pinpoint where moisture is entering. This saves you from paying for scaffolding just to diagnose the problem.
What's the difference between this and a thermal roof survey?
A roof survey focuses on the roof structure from above. An insulation survey covers the whole property - walls, windows, doors, roof, and ground floor. It's a complete thermal health check of your home, identifying everywhere heat is escaping.
Will my insurance company accept drone photos?
Yes - insurers increasingly accept and even prefer drone evidence. High-resolution, timestamped photos from multiple angles are more comprehensive than a few snaps from a ladder. We've had excellent feedback from insurers on the quality and clarity of our reports.
Is this just for roofs?
