Our Equipment

Professional Dual-Drone Fleet

We operate two purpose-built DJI platforms: the Matrice 4 Thermal for professional inspections, and the Mavic 4 Pro Creators Edition for stunning 100MP aerial photography and 6K video. The same class of equipment used by fire services, film crews, and the UK's largest inspection companies.

Inspection Platform

DJI Matrice 4 Thermal

Purpose-built for commercial inspections. Two cameras, one aircraft - capturing visual detail and thermal data simultaneously.

DJI Matrice 4 Thermal - enterprise inspection drone used by Hembury Contracting

Visual Camera

4K HD Wide-Angle

Sharp, detailed imagery from every angle - zoom in on individual tiles, mortar joints, and flashing

Thermal Camera

640x512 Radiometric

Measures precise temperature at every pixel with +/-2 degrees C accuracy - not just pretty colours

Flight Time

~40 Minutes

Enough to thoroughly survey most residential properties in a single battery

Wind Resistance

Up to Force 5

Stable footage even in Devon's breezy conditions - reliable when cheaper drones would be grounded

Weight

~1.5kg

Enterprise class - heavier than a consumer toy because it carries professional-grade sensors

Operating Range

Several km

More than enough for any residential or commercial property inspection

Aerial Photography

DJI Mavic 4 Pro Creators Edition

100MP Hasselblad camera system with 6K video. When you need stunning visual documentation, property marketing shots, or cinematic aerial content.

DJI Mavic 4 Pro Creators Edition - 100MP Hasselblad aerial photography drone

Main Camera

100MP Hasselblad

4/3 CMOS sensor with Hasselblad Natural Colour Solution - the same colour science trusted by professional photographers worldwide

Video

6K60 HDR

Cinema-quality aerial video with HDR support - perfect for property walkthroughs, marketing content, and detailed visual surveys

Triple Lens

48MP + 50MP Tele

Medium telephoto and standard telephoto lenses alongside the 100MP main - optical zoom gets close without flying close

Flight Time

51 Minutes

Industry-leading flight time means more coverage per battery - enough for comprehensive aerial shoots of large properties

Gimbal

360° Infinity

Full 360-degree rotation for seamless panoramas, tracking shots, and creative angles impossible with traditional gimbals

Storage

512GB SSD

Creators Edition includes a built-in 512GB SSD for massive 6K video files - no worrying about running out of space mid-shoot

Why Our Equipment Matters

There are thousands of drone pilots with consumer cameras. A professional dual-drone fleet is a different category entirely.

Professional Platform

This is DJI's enterprise line - built for commercial operators, not weekend hobbyists. It's the same class of platform used by:

  • UK fire and rescue services
  • Search and rescue operations
  • National infrastructure inspection firms
  • Energy companies for asset surveys
  • Insurance loss adjusters

Two Drones, Two Jobs

We don't use one drone for everything. Each platform is chosen for what it does best:

  • Matrice 4 Thermal: enterprise inspection with radiometric thermal
  • Mavic 4 Pro: 100MP Hasselblad for stunning aerial photography
  • Matrice: built to fly reliably in Force 5 winds
  • Mavic 4 Pro: 6K60 HDR video for cinematic documentation
  • Both: omnidirectional obstacle avoidance and GPS redundancy

Visual vs Thermal: Two Cameras, One Flight

The Matrice 4 Thermal captures both visual and thermal imagery simultaneously. Combined with the Mavic 4 Pro's 100MP Hasselblad for ultra-detailed stills, every angle is covered.

4K Visual Camera

High-resolution images and video that show physical condition in sharp detail. This is what you'd see if you could safely stand right next to it.

Best for spotting:

Cracked, slipped, or missing tiles

Damaged flashing and lead work

Blocked or sagging gutters

Chimney mortar deterioration

Moss, lichen, and algae buildup

Physical storm damage

Radiometric Thermal Camera

Records precise temperature data at every pixel (640x512 resolution, +/-2 degrees C accuracy). This reveals what's invisible to the naked eye.

Best for detecting:

Heat escaping through poor insulation

Moisture trapped in roof structures

Underfloor heating faults

Faulty solar panel cells and hotspots

Blocked or leaking pipes within walls

Flat roof membrane failures

Operator Credentials

Flying a drone commercially in the UK isn't something you can just do. Here's what makes us legitimate.

CAA Registered Operator

Registered with the Civil Aviation Authority as required for all commercial drone operations in the UK. Our operator ID is displayed on the aircraft as per regulations.

Fully Insured

Comprehensive commercial drone insurance covering public liability. Required for any legitimate commercial operator - if your pilot isn't insured, walk away.

Trained & Experienced Pilot

Trained in commercial drone operations with hands-on experience across hundreds of property inspections in the Exeter and Devon area.

CAA Drone Code Compliant

Every flight follows the CAA Drone Code and current flight regulations. Proper risk assessments, airspace checks, and flight planning for every single job.

What This Means For You

Good equipment and proper credentials aren't just nice to have - they directly affect the quality of your inspection.

Better Data, Better Decisions

Radiometric thermal data gives you actual temperature measurements, not just colour blobs. That means you can quantify heat loss, compare areas accurately, and make informed decisions about what to fix first.

Reports That Stand Up

Whether you're dealing with an insurance claim, a property purchase, or a landlord obligation - professional drone imagery from a registered operator carries weight. It's evidence, not just photos.

Safer For Everyone

Nobody needs to climb on your roof, erect scaffolding, or risk working at height. The drone covers every angle safely from the air, including areas that would be too dangerous or too expensive to reach by other means.

More Thorough Inspections

40-51 minute flight times across our fleet means we can inspect your entire property methodically. No rushing, no cutting corners because someone's on a ladder in the rain.

Accurate in Wind

Devon isn't always calm. Force 5 wind resistance means we can fly on days when lighter drones would be grounded - so your appointment is less likely to be rescheduled.
