- A second person (seriously - don't do this solo)
- Clear floor space beside the bed
- Your bed stripped down to the mattress
💪 Safe technique
- Both people stand on the same long side of the bed
- Grip the mattress edge firmly with both hands
- Lift together, keeping your back straight
- Slide mattress to the side so it's half-off the bed base
- Rotate 180° so the head end is now at the foot
- Slide back into position
For flipping:
- Same process but stand the mattress on its long edge first
- Let it fall gently onto the bed base flipped side
- Then rotate 180° as above
