For concrete floors, floor fixing requires drilling into concrete. We can do this but need to know beforehand to bring appropriate tools. Some racking systems are designed to be fixed to walls as well as floors. If your wall is blockwork or brick, this is straightforward. Stud walls need different fixings or might not be suitable for heavy racking. Used racking is often excellent value but check for damage - bent uprights or frames are dangerous. Inspect carefully before buying. Pallet racking comes in different depths (usually 900mm or 1200mm). Deeper racking holds more but takes up more floor space. Consider your garage depth before buying. Color coding systems (different colored beams for different areas) helps organize storage. Cheap spray paint works fine if you want to customize. For very heavy loads (full pallets, engine blocks, etc.), consider maximum floor loading - especially for upper floor installations. Domestic garage floors are strong but have limits.
