Yes - I can connect them to portable propane bottles. I don't do permanent mains gas (needs Gas Safe engineer), but most domestic fire pits use portable bottles.
Is it safe on decking?
Most aren't safe directly on decking. Raised fire pits with heat shields can work, or use a fire pit mat. I'll check yours and advise honestly.
What about smokeless fire pits?
Solo Stove and similar have double-wall construction. They need assembling exactly right for the smokeless feature to work - same principles, more precision.
