Frequently Asked Questions about Treadmill assembly in Tiverton
Why professional treadmill assembly?
Treadmills are heavy (50-80kg), boxes are awkward. Belt needs correct tensioning - too loose it slips, too tight it wears prematurely. Console wiring needs connecting. Folding mechanisms need testing. Heavier job than people expect.
Can you move it upstairs?
Treadmills are very heavy. Getting them upstairs is challenging in typical houses. Some can be partially disassembled. Be realistic about the route - measure doorways and stair turns before buying.
What about the folding mechanism?
Folding treadmills need the mechanism tested properly. The deck is heavy and must lock securely both up and down. I'll make sure you can fold/unfold it confidently.
Does the floor need to be level?
Yes - running on a tilted treadmill is uncomfortable. Most have adjustable feet for minor floor irregularities. I'll level it properly.
