Common Questions
The camera is out at the gate with no power near it. Can you sort that?
Yes. That is a common off-grid job. Rather than trenching cable out to the gate, we run the light or camera from its own solar panel and battery.
Will the lights and cameras stay on overnight?
We size the battery so the setup carries through the night and cloudy days. Tell us what you want covered and how it should behave and we will size it to suit.
Can you power an existing CCTV setup?
In many cases yes. We look at what the cameras and recorder draw and size an off-grid supply to keep them running. We will confirm what is workable once we have seen the kit.
Do I need grid paperwork for this?
No. Off-grid systems sit outside the grid paperwork, so the install stays straightforward. We wire and fuse everything to a safe standard and label it clearly.
